What to Know

About This Event

Join West Valley Business Exchange on Thursday, August 27, for the second meeting in our six-session Book Mastermind discussion of The 15 Commitments of Conscious Leadership by Jim Dethmer, Diana Chapman, and Kaley Klemp.

This free online discussion brings business owners, professionals, and curious readers together to explore practical ideas, exchange perspectives, and consider how the book’s lessons may apply in business and everyday life.

During this session, we will focus on Commitment 3: Feeling All Feelings and Commitment 4: Speaking Candidly. Together, we will explore how greater emotional awareness and more honest communication can influence leadership, decision-making, professional relationships, and the way we respond to challenges in everyday life.

What to Expect

During the meeting, we will:

  • Explore Commitment 3 and the role emotions can play in awareness, communication, and decision-making
  • Explore Commitment 4 and what it means to communicate candidly and responsibly
  • Discuss how emotional awareness and honest communication can shape leadership and professional relationships
  • Consider practical ways to apply both commitments at work and in everyday life
  • Exchange perspectives and experiences with other attendees
  • Make time for questions, reflection, and open conversation

The discussion will be practical, welcoming, and conversational. You are encouraged to contribute, but there is no pressure to speak before you are comfortable. You are also welcome to listen and become familiar with the group.

Do I Need to Attend the First Meeting?

No. Each Book Mastermind session is open to new and returning guests. You may join this meeting even if you did not attend the August 13 kickoff.

We will provide enough context to help new attendees follow the conversation. Reading the chapters covering Commitments 3 and 4 may help you participate more fully, but it is not required.
